Welcome !

We strongly believe that scouts must run the troop and the patrols. If you are expecting all troop events to run like a well oiled machine under the active leadership of adult leaders who micromanage every aspect of the event, Troop 303 is probably not for you. As a new scout parent possibly coming from a well organized Cub Pack, it may well appear to you that some of Trooop 303's meetings, outings and other events are a bit disorganized. THEY ARE! We are a boy run, adult led troop. In our view, adults need to be very active in the troop, but their efforts need to be channeled appropriately to avoid interfering with youth leadership opportunities. Adults are normally in the backround. Adult jobs are to supervise, train, assist, and support the program the scouts have planned. Scouts will make mistakes and these are allowed as learning experiences, as long as they are not physically or morally harmful. Evaluations of meetings and outings are constant and ongoing. If you have concerns, please do not hesitate to contact any adult leader. We will do our best to help your son gain valuable leadership experience under the guidance of the adult leaders.
